If you’ve ever dreamt of a place that is fun for both you and your furry friends, look no further. This month’s featured area earned the first-place position on our Seattle Dog Parks segment a few months back and is well worth the write up. Marymoor Dog Park is a dream come true for humans and dogs alike. This is an off-leash dog park where your dog can run around 40 acres of fields, woods and river with access beaches, paths, walkways and bridges. It’s a beautifully designed park that offers awesome pathways that open up to Lake Sammamish (you can see this in my video).
There are five river access points for dogs that like swimming, creating a unique feel separating this park from others. Not only is the design of this park awesome, but the layout is beautiful as well from the white rock paths to the wood chip walk paths. This park is looked after by S.O.D.A. (serve our dog areas), a non-profit organization that is in charge of stewarding, maintaining, and improving the park. S.O.D.A. is always accepting donations to help further their efforts in these parks.
I visited this park during July and it was amazing. If you follow the white rock path, it eventually turns into a wooden bridge. This bridge is surrounded by green growth and opens up to a dock surrounded by bright green lily pads.
If you and your furry friend are looking for an adventure, you NEED to check this park out. You will not be disappointed.
